The Connecticut B.A.S.S Federation Nation
unveils their new “Tournament Fish Care System”

The goal of this tournament fish care system is to maximize the survival of bass that are caught and released during tournaments.

The Connecticut B.A.S.S. Federation Nation (CBFN) unveiled their tournament fish care system during the weigh-in of their bass fishing tournament held on July 8, 2007 on the Connecticut River. Thanks to grant money received from their parent organization B.A.S.S. Federation Nation, Tournament Director, Alan Guite, was able to assemble the new system consisting of four (4) 100-gallon tanks filled with water kept at a cool temperature, treated with Rejuvenade, and aerated to maintain the appropriate oxygen levels for the fish.

Connecticut B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Member fishes the BASSMASTER CLASSIC.

C.B.F.N member, Chris Novack fished in the Super Bowl of bass fishing at the BASSMASTER Classic on Lay Lake in Alabama, February 23 – 25th. Chris’s quest for the Classic started when he qualified for the 2006 State Team through the State Championship Two Day. He then took the top spot for Connecticut at the Northeast Regional in September 2006, followed by the Top spot for the Region at the Federation Nation Nationals. This sealed the deal for his ticket to the Classic.
