Meeting Minutes
April 24, 2008
The regular monthly meeting of the Connecticut B.A.S.S. Federation Nation was called to order
April 24, 2008, at 7:36 p.m. by the President.
Roll Call: The following clubs were absent: None.
Excused Absences from the previous month: None
The minutes of previous month’s minutes where accepted
Correspondence
Optima Battery offer reviewed.
Longtrail Tobacco t-shirts & banners arrived. T-shirts will be distributed at tournaments.
Berkley pulled program off of the web. Wait to see if a new program will be offered
Reports of Officers
Treasurer’s Report: Sue Weeks
Presented and accepted.
Scholarship Report: Sylvia Morris & Dan Nitkowski
Judging by the committee for the selection of the Federation scholarship recipient was conducted. Scholarships were determined to be awarded to Larry F. & Richard T.
Conservation / Environmental Report: Dave Santos
Sure Life “Please Release Me” received and distributed to most that
had ordered. If you ordered some product or if you would like to order some,

We have been asked by Riverfront Recapture to volunteer for the
Sporting Kids for Youth program will be Saturday June 14, 2008. If you would like to

Costa Del Mar is sponsoring the Conservation Scholarship. Information

Youth Committee: No Report.
Tournament Committee: Al Guite
Trailer Update: The new trailer has been ordered and is in the process of being built at this time. We can expect delivery just prior to the first tournament in May.
Tournament Trail Update: We recently announced the new tournament trail rewards program.
Details are available on CBFN web site.
Applications for the 2008 Tournament Trail are coming in at a steady pace. The post mark deadline for the first tournament is Friday, May 2nd. Please make sure to include all requested documentation when you send in your application.
During the executive board meeting last week we discussed raising the workers fee’s and the trailer towers fee. A proposal will be made under new business to change rule # 22. Due to the rising cost of fuel these changes are necessary to ensure we have proper staffing at each event.
A $10 launch fee will be charged at the first event on Candlewood. This fee will be collected at the check in table.
The new tents were ordered last week. We can expect delivery in the near future.
Tournament agendas will be available on our web site during the week leading up to each event. We would like to suggest that all contestants read and familiarize themselves with the agenda prior to tournament day. If there are any questions feel free to contact Al Guite either by phone or e-mail.
Boating Advisory Report: Sue Weeks
Next Meeting is scheduled for May 12, 2008.
State Team Report:
The next team meeting is scheduled for June 15, 2008 immediately following tournament on the CT River. Shirts have been ordered.
Raffle Report: Armand Fortier
Tickets were turned in before and immediately following meeting.
Financial Committee: No Report
Audit Committee: Lewis Schaller
Schedule for audit is being worked on.
Membership Committee: Close to 500 members currently not including the youth.
Sponsors Committee: No Report
All Reports approved as given.
Old Business
Pachaug Area Bass Masters received $125.00 for their Junior tournament.
Sure-Life orders distributed immediately following meeting.
